Vernissage, which means “gallery opening” in French, includes works in bronze, aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, granite, glass, resin, wood, Plexiglas and concrete in scale ranging from hand-held to 25 foot tall.
Sculpturesite Gallery opens as the City’s only gallery dedicated to contemporary and modern sculpture in the Yerba Buena neighborhood, a block South of SFMOMA on August 11th. The landmark indoor-outdoor venue has invited established sculptors from California, New York, Florida, New Mexico, Vermont, Canada, England, Australia and France to show in the inaugural exhibition.
